Join me this Veteran’s Day in supporting the World War II Foundation and their mission to educating future generation about the enormous sacrifices and achievements of 16 million Americans who served in WWII.
I’ve been working with the WWII Foundation for going on 2 years on a documentary film called War Journal: The Incredible World War II Escape of Major Damon “Rocky” Gause. Major Gause was from Jefferson and his story is one the most amazing stories of survival and heroism to come out of WWII. I read his war journal when I was a teenager and jumped at the opportunity to be involved with the film. I helped with fundraising and music. I wrote the song “My Time (In Memory of Major Gause)” for the film and it is featured at the end. I also scored music for a few other segments in the film. We had the world premiere of the film this past Sunday in Jefferson and had a sold out crowd of over 600 people in attendance. I performed the song before the showing. It was amazing.
All profits raised will go directly to the World War II Foundation.
